Lenel Expands Global Facility Infrastructure
BIRMINGHAM, England, IFSEC, Hall 6, Stand 7024, May 21, 2007 — Lenel Systems International announced today that it is making a number of facility infrastructure enhancements to support its growing operational needs worldwide. Lenel, a global leader in software and integrated security systems for government and commercial markets, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
Lenel has added 8,500 square feet of office space to its Rochester, N.Y. world headquarters facility. The new addition houses all of Lenel’s corporate service functions, including professional engineering services, learning solutions, technical support and managed services. The building expansion provides 50 percent more space for customer training, and enables the company to better accommodate its growing software development, product management, and quality assurance teams.
Also in the U.S., Lenel is opening an office in Washington, D.C. to support the company’s sales activity in the federal government sector. The new office is located within a United Technologies Corp. facility, and is fully-equipped to provide product demonstrations of IdentityDefender, Lenel’s commercial off-the-shelf, FIPS 201-compliant solution.
Lenel has opened a second office in the Middle East, to support sales and service activity in the North and South Gulf regions. The branch office, which includes a training center, is situated within the Dubai Airport Free Zone in the United Arab Emirates. Lenel also has an office in Beirut, Lebanon.
Lenel’s Asia Pacific hub in Wan Chai, Hong Kong has undergone extensive renovations to better serve the needs of the company’s growing operations in that region. The renovations provide enhanced utilization of meeting and office space, technical upgrades to existing training facilities and additional new workstations, to ensure that the office remains a truly state-of-the-art facility.
“Our continual investment in infrastructure reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of both our system users and channel partners globally, and supports our vision to be a world-class customer service organization,” said Brian Paliotti, Chief Financial Officer for Lenel.
The latest facility infrastructure developments are part of Lenel’s efforts to expand its international footprint to support its strategic objectives. During the past year, Lenel has nearly doubled its international team, added local staff in new geographical markets, and further developed its global network of authorized value-added resellers.
