The visitor self-service model relies upon the OnGuard Visitor Self Service (VSS) app, which runs on an iPad® at the front desk. The service enables an employee “host” to pre-register a visitor, and requires little or no interaction with the front desk attendant during visitor check-in.

A full-service, concierge-like model leverages the browser-based OnGuard Visitor client to provide a welcoming front desk experience. Using this web- and mobile-enabled tool, the attendant can engage visitors from behind the front desk, or greet them face-to-face with a tablet in hand for a less formal, more personal greeting.

Another full-service, concierge-like model also uses the browser-based OnGuard Visitor client to provide a personal front desk experience, even for visitors who are not pre-registered. Instead, the attendant or host gathers and enters all relevant information once the visitor arrives, still providing a fast and efficient check-in experience.
