Sentinel ESS

Multi-factor authentication is becoming more widely implemented for ICAM (Identify, Credential, and Access Management) requirements. Common factors are used to identify users, i.e., an e-mail or text message is delivered via another account associated with the user that provides a code for the user to respond with in order identify the user and their credentials to be accepted, or require additional forms of identification ranging from fobs with roaming codes or biometric signatures i.e. iris or finger print scans, facial or voice recognition capabilities. Each of these techniques to identify users are visible to potential perpetrators, allowing them to devise tools and techniques to by-pass or penetrate access management controls. Biometric identifications become permanently ineffective once they are compromised because they cannot be changed by the user. Sentinel ESS provides a solution for a single sign-on capability that enforces security policies, protects enterprise networks and its data from insider threats with obfuscated factors and credential attributes for identification that are difficult to compromise. The behavioral patterns of user accesses provide continuous monitoring capabilities, alerts when improper penetrations occur and hit lists of individual accounts that may have been compromised or user activity that may be suspect for further surveillance.

This interface supports:

  • Provide a multi-factor authentication capability for network and application access that includes OnGuard access events
  • Provide Behavior Based Access Control built on user access locations and times
  • Provide Role Based Access Control
  • Provide Attribute Based Access Control
  • Generate hit lists of individuals suspected of inappropriate access
  • Provide continuous monitoring of user network/application accesses
  • Enable enforcement of security policies
